Driving home this evening a storm threatens the calm heavy clouds reflect my mood an ominous gray cloak tinged with purple rage The night’s eyes engorged a disturbing texture of pulsating ambiguity swollen with caged tears like my own My car is shrinking or maybe it’s the world closing in on me and I am suffocating beneath the weight of something Pulling over to stumble out gasping in the exhaust of passing cars as inquisitive fish faces stare at me from transitory aquariums I am the spectacle that sparks their morbid curiosity that crazy looking woman losing it, losing everything On the side of the road I stand there in the dark the first clap of thunder drowning out my enraged screams surrendured to the storm as it begins to rain.... Oh...I guess I was once again sucked in, chewed up and spit out by that thing we call life... How about you? How are you doing? |
