He had plowed the virgin field Had planted and reaped a plenteous crop Had tended it with care Tilled and fertilized as he should He was reaping all the benefits Of all the good crops he had sowed The bread was plentiful On the table Its aroma was so sweet Yet he left it Steaming hot on the table For others to eat For one day He rode his tractor Across the field Beyond his pastures fine Caught a glimse Of greener pastures Took sudden leave of his mind His foot went heavy on the petal And into forward throttle went Leaving wide tractor tire marks Upon a down trod fence He didn't even look behind him To see the damage he had done But plowed blindly Into the mirage Of a foolish farmer's dreams |

Unfortunately not a fastasy, althought really not a farmer in profession, but the concept is real. I guess everyone could apply it to a their own story of greener pastures. Thanks for your comments. |
