When I have a conversation with you, I say things coming out of the blue, Sometimes I fail to think of what you say, and listen, and make eye contact... I'm not too good at those things... Do you hold it against me? When I'm holding you tightly in my arms, And gently kissing your soft lips and cheeks, At times I fail to be immersed in you, to truly feel you... to truly love you... My horrible sickness infects my attention to you and the world around me, It causes me pain and regret... Do you hold it against me? With my eyes fixed in, it may seem as if I am absorbing all of your innocent, loving words into my soul and decyphering them, acknowledging thier vulnerable existence.. My Lord! It's a hard thing for me to do! Yet it's so painfully easy... I just cant sometimes! I still tend to look upon things with a horrible defecit of attention. Do you hold it against me? If you do... I apologize... Love is God. Love is war. Love is what your life is for. |

ES, this sounds like a male habit. We women talk and the male lets a steel door fall and even though they are there, they really aren't. Then the wonder comes. Why doesn't she still love me. Some where along the way, YOU have to hear, then the feelings can start being shared. A moving poem, ME |

jeez so all of you are saying that this is only a male problem? are you meaning to tell me that all women pay attention all the time while men tend to fall upon the wayside now and then? C'mon!! Not ALL women are totally focused all the time, there has to be exceptions.. perhaps this is the result of our differing brain chemistry between the sexes.. |
