state of confusion

Take Some Time

Let’s take some time,
it’s the thing we always lose,
we should create a sabbatical for two.

So, stop what you’re doing,
pick up the phone,
cancel the dentist,
postpone the haircuts,
send our regrets
to that R.S.V.P;
our friends
will understand.

Gas up the car,
throw in some clothes,
don’t make up consequences,
the kids are at grandma’s,
they’ll survive,
I want to see the coast
with you.

Don’t make reservations,
let’s just go where the road goes,
find spontaneity,
lock up the cell phone,
put in some tapes,
don’t want to hear
the news today.

Breathe in the Redwoods,
Look! There’s Mendocino,
let’s stop and soak up
the atmosphere,
don’t know about you
but I’m thinking we should
park it here.

Up and down the coast we go,
free from restrictions,
we can suddenly recall,
hey, what do you know?
We’re still in love
after all!

This sounds absolutely wonderful, Corinne, spur of the moment and all that!

Corinne....Buoyant. Passions requests postcards from the two of you.  Bob   PS Or at least a note in a bottle.
