Still The Echoes
~*Marge Tindal*~

still the echoes
in the head
  dead long dead
  long long dead

resonate no more
no more no more
I implore
no no  no no more

sashed  slashed
abandoned
dead
  long long dead
  dead long dead
echo echo echo
intheheadheadhead

long dead
wrong dead
still it echoes
in the head

da-da da-da da-da da-da
dead-dead-dead
  echo echo echo
intheheadheadhead

whoosh....from light...to dark...

the echoes are echoing, softer, softer, almost....

gone

but still the echo,

echoes on........

Yes, I hear them crashing around in my head, as well.
Interesting form. Well done.

This reminds me so much of dreams that have no hope and yet will not die... they just keep haunting and whispering and leaving aches of might-have-beens. I'm so accustomed to a different type of poetry from you, I didn't expect to open this one and find my own confusion. *S* But it's a fine reminder that you can write anything well. *S*

I'm hearing the echoes today Marge, sometimes I wish I could silence the echoes.......this is wonderful.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Marge,

I like this one very much.  I think it's these echoes that makes you the talented writer that you are.  Please don't tell them to hush.

Marge, with the echos we get to hear your words over and over and over.  Nicely done.  Hugs,  ME

*I appreciate each of you for your comments on this one.

Sometimes, a painful memory comes back with a Gatling gun staccato that echoes loudly.
This one did ... and found it's way to the page after almost 26 years.

I guess all memories create their own form.
