Virginia Salter she stood alone out on a desert night cool, gentle breezes brushed the tresses of her hair and caressed her tender cheeks starlight sparkled, meteors danced upon the Milky Way crescent moon shone its dreamland as owls hooted in the wind her soles could feel the massive stone beneath her feet as the fringe that edged her buckskin swayed to and fro in streamer’s glee much peace always enjoyed in her retreat upon this knoll it was as if the very Master lingered near to make her whole in this awesome quiet its interlude of beauteous calm her heart’s voice lifted to heaven as unto Him fully drawn there on strong foundation was her strength ever renewed in the folds and in the flexings of her sinew and her mood ©May 15, 2001 My server was down several hours last night, hopefully I'll get more time before school to read and comment, but if not I'll be here this evening. |
