I see you In the sting Of swift emersion As if something, stunning stroked the darkness A light glows my eyes blink back levied tears You are not real. You seem as if divine. I’d rush to meet you But you’d simply fade Into the canvas The stars, keepsakes of my loss I ache so I lived through hunger’s path Lay me down I’ll feed you grapes of our past love [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 05-15-2001).] |

Ah....this is so different than what you usually post sir. It's dramatic in tone and the format suits this subject. Well done!! [This message has been edited by Poet deVine (edited 05-15-2001).] |

Walt, Quite a premonition (we can hope) you had in your poem.... Someday, perhaps, we will lay back and be fed grapes by beautiful goddesses. One can certainly dream. Nice poem. Bob <>< |

As if something, stunning stroked the darkness the above stanza is a great image and feeling as is the whole poem! eyem crazy...i kinda wondered what the levied tears tasted like in the 4th stanza? this reminds me of total darknes on the dunes off the coast. quite a thought! |
