The Moonlight and More

I tried to paint in the heat of the day
But feeling faint, came into the gray.
No sunshine or rainbows to brighten, enlight
Covered my pain, shaded the bright.

The closeness of you, blanketed me
As I rested in bed, looking out upon tree.
Touching my thoughts, dreaming your climb
It's arms bending near, 'til next whispers, time.

Do you think that one day, this dream may come true?
As tall and slender, you'll reach me, climb through
The window so near, that I watch every night
Wondering if or when, you'd alight.

Like a bird, soaring in, landing gently to rest
And I...waiting here, feeling somewhat possessed,
Kissed by your memories, haunted by view
I lay here watching mind replays of you.

One day, will come soon, I feel it for sure.
I'll see shadowed in velvet, the moonlight and more.

"Mind Replays" -- what an excellent description of the many playbacks our mids indulge in.

Wish I had had come up with that one.

My compliments
