A Repast of Blessings Virginia Salter the hour is but seven o’clock yet the sun seems at ten it’s hard to understand the look of day when early morn’s still at hand the town is quiet in this early hour as a golden day begins the poet at her word machine telling tales provoking grins cat sits on the porch stoop longingly seeking drink yet water bowl sits within garden sprinkler’s circle of rain a reflection of sunlight provides stage lights for droplets dancing upon the patio while ferns quiver as gentle fans serenity so envelops these moments as if a repast of blessings has been received from within God’s universal cathedral © May 8, 2000 |

Ahhh... those few but precious quiet moments to really look around at the simpliest of pleasures. Loved it. |

Thank you both so much for reading and commenting. I really thought this one was going to just sink into the sunset. |
