We are alone
you & I
locked in places
holding us together
yet so painfully
apart

What have I missed,
my poet?
in these attempts
to comprehend code,
symbolic poetic verse
while traversing
darkness?

Conclusions,
inner tenative laws
bring no nearer
truths as honestly
intended by the other

Strangers,
you & I
trapped in our
own interpretations
separated by our
distinctive worlds
creatively,
alone...
