~* Inner Storms *~A sludge of black thoughts, Begin to permeate my brain, Like towering thunderclouds. Building up in my mind, Threatening to burst forth In a deluge of angry words. An oppressive atmosphere, That precedes a summer storm, Hanging heavily around my heart. Flashes of fury like lightning, Crack whip like thoughts of anger, So slowly, but surely, They smolder and stifle my spirit, Struggling to smother my soul. Anger, frustration, Resentment, and guilt, Flash like emotional lightning bolts, Slicing across mind's darkened sky. Fractured consciousness. Pressure intensifying, Storm seeking to unleash, Its destructive fury, In torrents of pain, Against my body, soul, and spirit. I cry out, to my gentle spirit, Then, blessed relief! Soft wind of the Spirit, Blows through my mind, Black clouds dissipate! Gentle rain of the Spirit, Cleanses my heart of, Negatively charged emotions. Again, the storm has been calmed. And softly my mind sighs. * * picture: www.freefoto.com ~*~ I write ~ Therefore I am ~*~ Homepage: http://www.mysteria-poetry.cityslide.com/contents/contents/cfm/451673 [This message has been edited by Mysteria (edited 05-09-2001).] |

Soft wind of the Spirit, Blows through my mind, Black clouds dissipate! Gentle rain of the Spirit, Cleanses my heart of, Negatively charged emotions. Again, the storm has been calmed. And softly my mind sighs".... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for such a beautiful start to my day....you always know how to make me smile. Hugs......dawn |

Wow something to way up to for sure. I'm glad the tempest is on its way out to sea. "I am not now that which I have been." |

Words I can so relate to Sharon. I've felt this way now for some time. I believe in that old saying: "This too shall pass" because IT is passing through the grace of a loving God and friends like you who care enough to speak their mind where my best interests are concerned. For this I thank you. Kate Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood. |

2dalimit ~ (love that name!)You are so rigth...hanging in there is the trick! Glad you enjoyed this. Julian ~ This tempest is a "Texas-sized" one, and may take a bunch of sunny days to get rid of it! Kate ~ If friends were only around for sunny days, who would run the ship in the storms? Hugs! Olias ~ So glad you liked it - the wav file was sneaky no? ~*~ I write ~ Therefore I am ~*~ |
