RIVER REFLECTIONS ~ CHANGING TIDES By Martha Cowan In the glow of this sunset I witness ~*~ Reflecting visions of serene and soothing beauty... I bid the day farewell As my thoughts softly kiss The fading eyes of her slumber... Falling quickly now upon the horizon... I pray the love inside of my heart Is absorbed within this wonder As the journey of the waiting dawn Evolves to find you........ Somewhere in tomorrow.... Wherever you are.... If you will stand within it's embraces... Absorb the warmth...breathe in the magic... It will fill you with all of the love That has traveled across the miles. ~*~ Tonight ~*~ In search of solitude I seek shelter Within the arms Of my river..... Flowing delicately Beneath decorations of Heaven's floor. The sound of it's current Is absorbed within my soul... As my heartbeat pours Into those tides of serenity..... Drenching my body and my spirit.... Cleansing disillusions and fears... Restoring my faith.... Etching your face with moonlight's pen Upon this liquid mirror of hope Flowing majestically before me..... Traveling freely to places My heart dreams to touch... ~*~ missing you ~*~ Upon these banks of restoration... My soul quenches it's thirst in reflections Of the moonlight Sharing secrets spoken from the passing sun On it's journey to awaken you from dreams... And whisper the voices spoken from the lips of my midnight's desires.... So sweetly in your ear.... Silent voices of yesterday.... Invading your today... With sweet promises of tomorrow.. A time for us.... To be shared... When our today's and tomorrow's.. Are written upon the same pages In this book of life.... Sealed with eternal love.... ~*~ <3 ~*~ <3 ~*~ <3 ~*~ <3 ~*~ <3 (dreams are born within the sunset... and given wings to fly.... YOU are the winds beneath them...) ....for "D's...A" (graphics courtesy of Moon & Back Graphics..."Alone in My Thoughts"..artist Tom Seriak... music by "Romeo & Juliet - Love Song" by Higgins) |

I heard the music within your lovely words. You capture tenderness so very well. "I am not now that which I have been." |

MarthaCowan~ This is just a lovely, lovely piece. The serenity within the calming rivers of your soul is refreshing. And this ... 'As my heartbeat pours Into those tides of serenity..... Drenching my body and my spirit.... Cleansing disillusions and fears... Restoring my faith.... Etching your face with moonlight's pen Upon this liquid mirror of hope Flowing majestically before me..... Traveling freely to places My heart dreams to touch...' ... loveliest of all ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
