When the sun sinks, And the night draws its cloak around me, I no longer control my mood. I am as the stars and the moon say I should be, A hovering figure in the mist and spray of the ocean, Gazing along the shoreline and wishing, To be some magical part of the walk. It is I who feeds the ocean its salt, With tears shed for another lonely wish, To be among lovers. I am but a figure in the wind, Flowing gown connected to the waves, Pouncing in play on the sand, Then quickly withdrawing, Remembering my place. Lest I sink into the sand graze the grains. Let me not settle here for I am too afraid. When the sun sinks, The night draws its cloak around me, And I am a figure in the mist and spray of the ocean. A strong towering wave being shoved by the wind, Upon jagged and rough rocks, And yet I stay here almost imploring someone, To finally break my strength, So I can crack. So I can fall. So the tears can cease again, And I no longer have to share my salt, With a thirsty ocean. still d-i-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d |

it is when this happens. . . that we share our tears with one another. . . that love finds its home. . . excellent. . . well written. . . ---------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Softly poignant. Beautifully written. I'll watch for you at the beach. "I am not now that which I have been." |
