A Skewed View
Virginia Salter

In the window glass
across the street
I find a skewed view...
people pass before they’re here
as witnessed from this portal
of the present

An illusion of life to be,
could it be the same for me?

Might there be
someone, somewhere
seeing me
before I’m there?

Someone whose sight
traverses from future, past
knowing just how long
this life of mine will last?

Someone who knows
my minutes, hours
as well as sun
lifts up the flowers.

It must be so
it must be true
a kindred spirit
that brought me you

Your tender words
your loving ways
Empower my nights
indwell my days

Raise up my chin
dry up my tears
soothe my soul
quell my fears.

Clouds that would
engulf, entomb
Burned away...
now watch me bloom!

Love to think about illusions like this.
Interesting where you took this one.
Enjoyed.

Excellent as always.
