As I stroll along the water's edge With my feet sinking in the sand My eyes glance across at a small island No more than ten metres from the land I know this island so very well Of Summers spent down by this sea How we swam in this beautiful ocean Such precious times for you and me This island is not one you can live on But a place to sit and watch the world go by Some days I would feel so happy That, on tiptoes, I could almost reach the sky Now the seagulls sit on our island Here they roost as the sun starts to set And everytime that I walk past here There'll be some things I'll never forget Good times we once shared are now distant No more a child am I Everytime that I walk past this island now I always feel the need to cry But those memories we shared, I must now cherish For two years you've been gone from my side But I take much comfort in knowing In my heart is where you now reside Suetang [This message has been edited by Suetang (edited 05-03-2001).] |

One thing is certain...memories will come to us...and in this case it is wonderful to have nice memories in one's heart...James |

Yes, we all have our memories. Mine is the city park in our little inland town. Joyce |
