Listen to the birds...
There....do you hear them right outside your windowpane?
In the peaceful post-dawn stillness,
they are singing to greet the new day...
How would it feel if you did the same?

They fill the air with notes of beauty,
no complaints, only excitement,
at the thought of being alive to fly...
to fly high above our busy heads,
free as what they are...free as birds!

Just listen for a minute...
You have a minute to spare,
and it will be time well spent...
Their songs are unique to their species,
Are yours?

Can your song be heard?
Over the hustle of daily greed...
above the noisy groan of manmade inventions...
Can you rise above it all?
Spread your gossamer wings and fly?

Just stop and listen...
It won’t take long,
and then you can go about your busy ways...
But who knows...maybe the birdsong will change you,
in some silent, giant, yet unfathomable way...
Just listen...

Live...Love...Be grateful for both!!

So beautiful is YOUR song, Sunnyone, I can hear it gently loud and clear in this poem.  Thanks for sharing it, I'm so glad it came before me in the morn of this day.

Sometimes a persistent, soft, hum....is soon heard....

white noise....

I heard those songs as I prepared for bed this morning.  Yes, I keep long hours.  I always enjoy the mornings as the birds send forth their pleasant greeting to a new day.  If only we could awaken in such song, such peace.  Thank you, my friend.  This is a song in itself.

We would be much happier with our lives if we could learn this lesson of nature. Unfortunately, Man is the only animal who knows of his inescapable fate so the others can sing as if there will always be a tomorrow...it's a pity we can't.
