The Affair I know a cove of sheer ascent, Where in the summer Storms repent of whitecaps, And bits of surf Flounce along a sandy beach Like the skirt of a little girl, skipping; Of the complete Absence Of tourists; Of a single path Climbing steeply up a cliff To where a lighthouse, Boarded up, Sits beside the keeper's cottage; Of candles close against the pane, For innocence, Once rented out, May someday still return to claim The blanket. Bob, It captured a painting I have in my office beside "starry night." How I enjoyed your poem of splendor. The key master has to just open the door. LP |

Latin Passion......I love "Starry Night". It is one of my daughter's favorites. Bob Hope.....nothing like renting a little place by the sea. Smiles. Bob S Arthur...Thank you, Sir. Amuse mi ..... Thank you for your honest concern for the little girl. But not to worry. If you read "I know a cove.......for innocence..." you may be reassured for the well-being of the little girl within the woman. Bob Joyce...Thanks, Joyce. Kinda blew a bit in our neck of the woods yesterday didn't it? Bob |

Okay, I see. Took me a bit, but I see the beauty in this. As long as he protects her that's okay... |

I've always had my blanket Sometimes loaned it out Or forgotten where I put it And sometimes lived in doubt But it returns Ever haunting With lessons learned Ever daunting Oh, the rebel, I And stubborn, too Until I cry And think anew. |

Actually, you had me at "cove" then went on to reel me in with "lighthouse" since I have a passion for being near each one. Excellent. "I am not now that which I have been." |
