I am not unknown request--
if fact I'm just the opposite
I am no one's soul's behest
Reversing images ...of verse
it's absurd of me to find
the obverse image of my mind.

In the still grass, whisper "me"
waving, sunburst imagery-
of yellow glass
in sands of cast-
the towers of what used to be.

for I see me in the words....
see us in the rhymes.
and the imagery in that last verse is so cool
tis a beauty me girlie.

There are two lasting bequests
that we can hope to instill in our children
one is roots ...
the other ... wings.
