~*~ A Mermaid's Lament ~*~

Oh, silver strands, silver strands,
They call upon the open shore.
I look within the cluster of polished shells
See the wind, but nothing more.

Oh, silver strands, of shadow lands,
Strum out music through the waves.
Leave me dancing, glancing here,
A foolish glimmer, Nature's slave.

See the silver gems on pearly stems,
And voices floating in scales of gold?
Yet leave them, leave them, don't believe them,
Glittering hard, and glittering cold.

You have been "pounding" again..havent you?
well your doing something right cuz the cadence in this is delightful...
this was a joy to read aloud...
and the imagery was an added pleasure.
Well done Mysteria

Gosh all of us have so much in common, I am here reading things I have written (in other words), mine was called a Mermaid's Tale.  LOL
This is much different though, extremely strong images. I can see the mermaids clearly. Lovely.

I can not honestly say this is your best work. For the moment I form those words, you'll be off creating something even more spectacular. Great Job.

Wow...Sharon...
I'm completely in awe of this magic you have captured within this beautiful work of art.
It touched a tender place in my heart for some reason tonight, and finds me wiping a teardrop. So very...very beautiful....
Hugs to you, dear friend, Martha
