Hear the smell Of rotting limbs When cedars hit the plane To meld their woe In sawdust blood Whilst man ignores their shame The buzz of death At pull of chain To conveyor belt or yellow crane And burn their pulp In smokey flood It's death, yes, all the same Hear the smell Of rotting limbs As cedars hit the plane [This message has been edited by Amuse_mi (edited 04-28-2001).] |

I see this is your first poem after many replies  ...So while I can't say welcome per se, I will say welcome to your first poem! LOL...This is sad...really it is...and you've said it well... Thankyou so much for all the kind and wonderful replies. I am not against the logging industry, simply the irresponsibility of man in the lack of planning to re-plant what we reap. That's all. And while I am here. Thankyou, everyone, for all of your inspiring pieces. I want to lose sleep in order to read them all! |
