You said that you would write today,
to watch my ICQ...
And finally my reward was there,
a chance to talk to you...
It seemed that you were busy,
but I still kept holding on...
Then somewhere out in cyber space,
you clicked and you were gone!

I sent you back a message,
just to say I wasn’t through...
I didn’t get an answer,
not a single word from you....
With hours passed, frustration mounts,
the day will seem too long...
And all I’ve thought about is just
one click, and you were gone...

The awful part is I don’t know
if it was what you chose...
Or maybe it was in the lines,
sometimes that’s how it goes...
But my poor heart is hurt,
no matter where it all went wrong...
it didn’t need rejection with that click,
and see you gone!

I guess I’ll have to find some other
friends to ICQ...
Then I won’t sit here, all alone,
and wait so long for you...
You’ve shown me our relationship was
much more off than on...
The next time that you message me,
I’ll click, and you’ll be gone!

Live...Love...Be grateful for both!!

Well good for you, but maybe you better wait for an explanation.  This was a fun poem.  Joyce

Can't help but agree with Joyce, but I hope if it is to be your relationship will become stronger than a click.

~~~ Hi Joyce ~~~
yes.....that thought certainly did cross my mind!!!   thank you!!!
~~~ Hi VAS ~~~
and I think you're right, but this day and age there is a whole lot of clicking going on.

~~~ Hi Sunshine ~~~
I hate telephones...it's easier to type, then they don't hear your nervous voice!!!
~~~ Hi SEA ~~~
Yes, I do agree, and dealing with computers can foul up the best of intentions.

~~~ Hi Bill ~~~
Will certainly look forward to that one!
Just wanted to add a note and thank all for enjoying this and replying!!  Don't worry, though...it was all in fun!!!!
Sunny,
Though sad, I do like the flow of this one and wish you my best.  Hugs to you, my friend.
Oh, the trial and tribulations of the cyber world!
Neat poem.  I think we all can relate.
With one click we can communicate or disconnect with the world. Fun poem!
Oh what a flow, what a message!  Yes, sometimes it's easier to pick up the phone......you look beautiful by the way.
