“PLAYING THE BLUES” by Bill Charles ~~~~ Sometimes when I sit here, and listen to the blues, I have these soulful inspirations, to play my guitar… So I pick it up, start strumming real slow, and sexy, my eyes then close, and the music sounds like, it’s from afar… I hear the blues deeply inside, it touches me, romantic, seventh chords are just right, with a sensuous touch, of ecstasy… To me so very seducing, when I hear all of those tones, it makes me think about, precious nights together, which were many… We would hold each other close, embracing so very tight, as we gently touched each other, with soft fingertips, we both desired… We listened to chords strumming, it sounded like singing, and it entered our minds, as passions were tasted, which we had acquired… This guitar is also enthralling and alive, it seems to laugh or cry, guess it depends on whatever mood, that seems to catch me, at the moment… Whenever I play, I always think about things we would do, and I stay right here, with my guitar talking to me, “Playing The Blues”… ~~~~ |

Sounds to me like you become your music - and your music becomes you... A symbiosis of sorts... |

Yep, you've been there and come back and things just arn't the same again, excellent interpretation of the meshing of flesh, wood and emotion and mmmmm those 7ths, but what about a double string bend, right there around the 21st fret. Much enjoyed the jam will be back for more. Regards, Olias. |

Bill, I gotta tell ya this brought back a memory of a few years ago when back home my friends and I would get together on a Saturday nite and one with his acoustic guitar was so gifted in playing music we'd just sit back in admiration and enjoy the beautiful music he'd play for us... I enjoyed this poem thanks for the read PoetFriend |

Nan - I do feel that way at times, as I seem to go into a trance. Yes, a symbiosis of sorts. Irish Rose - a most heartwarming reply. Thank you Laurie Lee. Poet deVine - every time I close my eyes I hear it. Me thinks that it was born into me. Gentle Spirit - I too love the blues, very much so. Thank you for your reply.. latin passion - I have been by the lake a few times. But if you happen to pass by there, and you hear the blues, it will be I, in the most romantic spot that can be found on the lake. nakdthoughts - h'mmmm, a moonchild also? I hadn't thought of that, but........... Miss you also..... OLIAS - yes, have been there, came back and decided that it was worth it, if you know what I mean. I am just an amatuer, but still love playing.....Thanks for coming by. Marge Tindal - thanks Marge, also happy to hear from you. Passions Voice - wow, what a compliment. It has touched me deeply, and I thank you Diana. Coco - your reply is what makes this all worth while to continue to write, and share them with whomever wishes to stop by for a read. I remember also, doing the same with my younger brother, he playing lead, and me doing the rymthm. Memories!!!!!!!! serenity - thank you for reading this writing. And at the present time, I have just completed writing a song, and will be having a band play it in a club in about two to three weeks. I am going to see about recording it, when they are playing. I'm very excited, and I am also working on another. Would love to sit back and play for you. Joyce - once someone that one cares for plays the guitar for them, I have found that they never forget. |

suthern - I can also hear it, even when I'm not playing. But I do believe, that I was born with the blues, in more ways than one. Amuse_mi - I am flattered with your words, thank you. |

Bill, I'm glad I went back a few pages to see what I missed. It's amazing how strongly music affects us isn't it? Once again beautiful writing TaraB |
