You are my honey buns,
...my cupcake, chocolate iced,
I'd love to touch your twinkies,
...your ding dong's me enticed,
A cherry pie with flaky crust,
...as sweet as snicker bars,
You are my favorite midnight snack,
...the taste of chocolate stars,
You're fruit puree, a caramel sauce,
...I yearn your cheesecake smile,
Godiva pales next to your tortes,
...a tart with whipped cream style,
You put the the twizzler in my stick,
...you are my bear so gummi,
You are the cherry that makes my shake,
...the yummy in my tummy.

She's my little ribeye,
...I love her tenderize,
My blood broils when I spy her rump,
...roast atop her chicken thighs,
I'd hamhock everything I owned
...to see her brisket bare,
I'd love to see her lambchops sweet,
...charcoaled to medium rare,
I drool with thoughts of her filet,
...capon a china plate,
What a pheasant treat she'd be,
...to baste and marinate,
Her salmon skin, a veal delight,
...a tuna, smoked and cured,
An aria, a real proscuitto,
...my mind is mountain oystered.

Do you carrot all about me,
...my sweet potato pie?
I yam infatuated,
...lettuce turnip to the sky,
My heart beets rutabaga,
...but grits thyme to say goodbye,
I've bean hominy forever,
...for sliced onions make me cry,
Don't celery my radish,
...my heart does artichoke,
Corn is my salvation,
...Nathan Kale with honor spoke,
Okra is my favorite show,
...has mushroomed into cabbage,
Asparagus the cauliflowers,
...broccoli doesn't show its sage,
Peas forgive horrendous rhyme,
...I've squashed my feeble mind,
I drift into tomato paste,
...brussel sprouts, I cannot find.

I've just gained 10 lbs. But, it was well worth the read.

I've always heard that I'm never to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach....but look what happens when I come to read poetry....

NOT FAIR....we're ALL starving now!

Wow, this inspires me to take another close look at my husband. In this view he already nourished me for over 33 years and still fill my appetite.

Such a wonderfull poem, Thank you.
