hi again yall
i had to do alot of thinking on posting this.  i wanted my 500th post to be special.  so i didnt know if i should write something totaly new or go back and post something that i wrote alittle while ago but never posted.  so i decided to go with the one i wrote alittle while ago.  i wrote this for someone that was a very special person in my life.  and she still is.  and no matter what she will always have my heart.  i hope yall like it.  and heres to 500 more  

My Hearts Pheonix

I was giving up on finding love
i closed the doors of my heart
i was tired of it being hurt
and having it ripped apart
it seemed every time that i loved
something bad would come along
and the person that i loved
would always say so long
sometimes they would find another
someone better then me
leaving this outlaw torn
like a sailor lost at sea
other times the lord would come
and just take them away
and i couldn't stop him
no matter how much i wanted them to stay
so i said that i would never
find true love again
i thought that this one great heart
had come to a tearful end
i had alot of friends tell me
that things would be alright
and that in a few days i would be better again
flying high as a kite
but then those days turned into weeks
and then months went passing by
still finding nothing but heartache
and a trail of tears that i cried
but you were always there for me
when ever i needed a friend
you saved me many times
when i thought i was at my end
i couldn't believe what was happening
i was falling in love with you
but i also knew you had a boyfriend
so there was nothing i could do
so i held back my emotions
i kept them all inside
and as we talked about him
my heart silently cried
we used to talk on the phone all night
laughing and having a good ol' time
after we hung up i would lay in bed
wishing i could call you mine
but then they day came
when we said that we should meet
i was so excited the whole way down there
i was on the edge of my seat
we got to your apartment
and i seen you walking out the door
but you didn't look like the pics you sent me
you were more beautiful for sure
that weekend was very magical
i think then we both knew
that there was something more then friendship
between us two
then a month later
i came down again
but this time it was certain
we were more then just friends
the energy i feel from you
when i look into your eyes
the way that your kisses
take me by surprise
the way your touch
is always soft as lace
and how your voice
brings a smile to my face
i wish that could see the future
like the prophets of old
so i could see into time
and what our relationship holds
you did the unthinkable
you went and won my heart
but what you didn't know
was that it was yours from the start
and now i can do something
i have always wanted to
and thats to look you in the eyes
and tell you i love you...
