losing it

so vivid it was, but as my
sleep-conscious mind went
to grasp at the
thought

share, share it
so profound,
touch
lives

it disappeared

but the feeling
still haunts
me

it must have been
very profound,
indeed

write with grace, all others lose face;
"Jo was very tall, thin, ... and reminded one of a colt..." LMA

dont ya hate when that happends....
or a really good thought or verse comes to ya at a bad time...
like in the shower....
cuz if I dont write it down RIGHT then..
I do lose it....
bought a recorder for the car...
so I dont wreck--writing while driving...LOL
need another one for the shower
very cool poem Lady....
even when when ya write about forgetting what you wanted to write...
its profound

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.

Lady I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me, especially in the car I've been known to scribble whilst driving.....lol.  Thanks for this one.  *s*

When I do that it is called "old-timer's" disease.  In your case it is just plain, good poetry.

very profound - when I remember - THEN I know I've the most profound - but always wonder about the 'thought' that 'got away'

Lady In White -

it must have been
very profound,
indeed

This seven words have touched me immensley, and I have yet to know why.

Very strong writing.

This unfortunately I relate to big time, and I just hate it when this happens, I call them "senior hiccups".  Great jobber!

Oh ... been there.

I think there is no capture for those that slip away~
They are just meant to dwell in someone else's pen~

Wonderfully done.

Obviously, you're not alone! LOL. And those lost profound thoughts always seem to haunt us, teasing us with how GOOD they were, too... our best ever! LOL. Well done!
