The Gateway To Your Heart

Step across a bridge
that transcends all eternity
into the light of gentle peace
warmed by loves reality.

Drop your guarded shields
they need not be held so high
just because your wings have faltered
doesn't mean that you can not fly.

Love can heal a wounded heart
if it's only given a chance
it can help to ease the pain
but first you must learn to dance.

So dance a life of love
and keep reaching for the stars
for only you can hide yourself
behind these self made bars.

It's a vey peaceful path
once you have made a start
it's time to unlock the door
the gateway to your heart.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Sometimes unlocking that door can lead to such pain those self made bars start to look awfully inviting. *S* But I do like this very much... it's hopeful and beautiful!

I so agree Suthern, sometimes those bars almost seem comforting....and then you realize that there should never be bars...of any kind. Thanks for thought provoking comments, I appreciate that. Hugs.
