Not a Quiver Virginia Salter dampness of the morning lingers from night’s rain stillness overwhelms in a place where wind is more the norm ah, bird flits black wings across gray sky giving slight semblance of life to landscape-oil-painted scene not even a quiver to tulips not a blade of grass stirs from worm nor moth nothing scurries in lack of warm light lilac trees motionless between deciduous, evergreen shrubs bringing pale contrast to green of spring trees that had been mere naked silhouettes just days ago, leafy green blocking sky’s view in greater magnitude all still fixed immobile blackbird gone the only hints of activity come within my abode as fingers punch out messages ethereally, feline pussyfoots one-room into another, magically jet’s rumble, reverbs sound waves into submission ©April 15, 2000 |

V, Nicely painted! Much better than a photo. Like the line..."feline pussyfoots one-room into another." Krawdad |

Your message is not so intangible ... well done is more like it. Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |
