Lie
Lie to me
tell only the little
things
I want to hear

Candy coat my world
make every day
saturated in sunshine
and cheesy faux smiles

Plant big plastic flowers
in my dying rose garden
So I may not be reminded
of my own flawed morality
so to forever live in
my fantasies

I blare Fred Durhrst
through giant speakers
making my walls shake
drowning reality's rapping
on my door
to tell me the dream
is over and dawn
is now.
