Reading Eyes If you could read my eyes this day, would you see the love they hold? Would you welcome them with looks that write, with pen then dipped in gold? Would the treasure held in both, behind, fill emptiness of old? If you could read my eyes this day, would secrets, mine, be told? If I could read your eyes this day, would I then know your want? Would behind the lids of flirting, leave me in your state of taunt? Would I know the deepest inner thoughts, and understand their jaunt? If I could read your eyes this day, would secrets, yours, be flaunt? If we could read each other's eyes, would words of tempting do? Would you want to kiss the look inside, that comes through mind to you? Would I wish to see, reality, and all that's stored in view? If we could read each other's eyes, would we know which is who? In eyes, the windows of our souls, and hearts, there's only "true" In reading each, there's no surprise, when love unveils, shines through. ~Wynter/Maureen "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
