Dark Side of the Sun

Encircling

seeing all
minute and large
at night, you only think
“hiding”
but ever in sight ~

taking in all,
burning bright

burning always

what of
the other side?

dark? burnt out?
what you can’t see?

what can’t you see….

encircling.

You cannot see through
this tremendous light

and I cannot hold you
upright

you did not ask for
this burn
I did not know
what I would earn
by being but
the Sun,
an orb

in giving light
against the dark
in setting sight
be there a spark
creating tight
a given mark

give it up
give it in
in darkest light
there be no sin
in my dark side
hidden from you
the magnet’s gone

though I loved true

seek the moon
a cooling place
soft refrain
shall seek your face
and I shall shine
there then, upon you
and in the cool
you’ll come to view
the way with orbs

how we seek

     our own space

          our own peak

               our own place.

a reminder that everything and everyone in life has two sides. . . and that we shouldn't forget about either of them. . .

The dark side where burns must seek healing by the cool moonlight. Innovative, intense, and brilliant.
