Life's Words We plant a seed We moisten it with damp We nurture, we fertilize And give loving care Preventing the weeds From neglect isn't easy To flourish, the seed Through drought, "needs" be shared The seed of a poem Begun with a thought Watered and sprinkled With rhythm and rhyme Fertilized with feelings From deepened emotions Unfinished, it's message 'Til read, in it's time A smile seeds a friendship Shows genuine caring Feeding with kindness It deepens, it grows Words speak of love A fine spray of real passion Imparting the needing Each other, seeds sow Planting that seedling In poem or life needs A kissing of thought words A caressing with touch Prompting the growth That lies dormant, still, resting Allows for the blooming From loving you much Producing new seeds To be reaped by another Creating the images A generation of new When time, ours, has passed Blooms wilted, plowed under Remember us, our images, That in "life words" are you. ~Wynter ...Written with a friend....awhile ago "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 04-22-2001).] |

Hey Wynter I sure like this ending! "Producing new seeds To be reaped by another Creating the images A generation of new When time, ours, has passed Blooms wilted, plowed under Remember us, our images, That in "life words" are you." Great words for the special day...al things are definitely involved....goods work! The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |
