the spring comes
but the ice
it will not melt
heartglaciergrowing

defying sunshine
feeding on the ever
hungry night
and time which defiles

holding no change
but clocks centrifugal dance
so is the meaning now
and all past

not too much water
passed neath yonder swaying
bridge nay too much blood
through hearts pumped

a bottomless pit this well of souls
drowns me daily I who craved
all and nothing now cursed to live
the emptiness of knowing

"The most redeeming facet of life is that we have the comfort of knowing it will end. Death doth love equally."

...now cursed
to live the emptiness of knowing

Unlike any other emptiness it is.  Glad you're back...missed you much!

heartglaciergrowing (wonderful!!!!!!!)

drowns me daily

the emptiness of knowing

loved these lines.... fine work here!
i'm listening to allison kraus... she sings, "forget about it.... when forever's over, i won't remember how much i loved you anymore"....

somehow her lines seem to blend with yours for me tonight....

thank you for posting this well written poetry....
