The majestical grace of the albatross As he effortlessly soars through the sky I gaze up in wonder as this fabulous bird Brings so much joy to my eyes Such a bird to see in flight Brings to me such great delight As I marvel at his grace All too soon he's gone - without a trace The pounding of the waves On an unforgiving sea This ocean will always earn respect As it most certainly does from me Never to be taken for granted So much wonder below to be seen As the color of the water Turns from turquoise blue to the deepest of green Soon the sun, she will set on the water A ball of fire will rest on the sea Such a display - a feast for the eyes At the closing of another day Such a romantic setting For lovers to behold They see the sun melt below the water As it spreads like liquid gold Another day is now over As the sun, it now rests for the night But all too soon a new dawn will come Bringing the mornings first rays of light Suetang |

Loved this! I'd love to see the treasure known as the ocean someday. Nature poems are always nice but especially appropriate today, Earth Day. Thanks for painting the ocean as you see it. |

SueTang~ This is just the most beautiful penning. What gorgeous imagery in your verse. 'Soon the sun, she will set on the water A ball of fire will rest on the sea Such a display - a feast for the eyes At the closing of another day Such a romantic setting For lovers to behold They see the sun melt below the water As it spreads like liquid gold' Doesn't get much prettier than this ! *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
