A Heart Is Blowing ... ~*Marge Tindal*~ A heart is blowing in the wind this night I can hear it sadly moan Gusting across a vacant abyss breaking on it's own A heart is blowing in the wind tonight if you listen really close You will hear the tumbling pieces that are hurting someone the most In the wind tonight, a heart is blowing tearing someone's world apart The chilling current of separation is breaking a once-warm heart I don't think that I can catch it or stop it in it's flight A heart is blowing in the wind so alone I fear it won't last the night A heart was blowing in the wind tonight Mariah's fury now is spent Scattered pieces of a heart are lost in sorrow's windy descent *With thanks for the inspirational line 'A heart is blowing in the wind tonight' from OneSlickLady in her 'Heart Motion'* ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Karilea~ I read Helen's phrase and it just had to be written. Me mind if you 'keep' one ? LOL ! That's why I write, girlfriend ! OneSlickLady~ Helen, thank you for graciously letting me use the phrase~ It spoke to my heart and I was compelled to write it. I so appreciate the inspiration. Serenity~ To 'feel' is to write. I see - I do ! Never have been 'bothered' by the gift. It just is something that comes so naturally for me. Thank you for asking. I'll get to your e-mail in a bit. Seymour~ Thank you friend. SEA~ I appreciate that you would let it tug your heart. I enjoy the kinship I feel with you, my friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

In the wind tonight, a heart is blowing tearing someone's world apart The chilling current of separation is breaking a once-warm heart That would be mine? *S* I'm sorry... I didn't mean to disturb you... tried to keep the screams silent but whimpers will slip through. Beautiful, Marge... a phrase becomes a work of art when introduced to your pen. *S* |

You know what I love best about your poetry, it is the fact that you truly do read others and from that comes some inspiration at times to do a piece. I often wonder how many truly read (really read) and understand the poetry they read. It truly comforts me to know that you connected with a piece and from that was born another, this is the mind of a true poet! Please visit me at my new homepage: |

And if you could "see" the blowing pieces, then you would find that the skies are filled as drops of rain by the many broken hearts this world contains. This is a good write, my friend. Michael Proust- |

Delightful, Marge! I really enjoyed the way you placed the italicized lines differently in all of the stanzas, it added a great feel! This poem has such a marvelous aura to it, and the picture helps a lot too. Very interesting, and well done indeed! I applaud you. ~Allan Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day.
