Closed Eyes (A cat blink = for Sunshine )

(I do agree - cats own poets - this is my 'cat' poem
If I am reposting - forgive me)

As we’re sitting and talking I close my eyes
You touch me softly and I am smiling
A long blink - eyes closed more than an instant
I try to grin my most beguiling

As I return your gaze I see
You give a most curious look
"Why, did you close your eyes like that?"
Knowing that I'm an open book

I say, "Did you ever notice your cat?
Cats, they do not blink when they fear
Moreover as a sign of trust
They close their eyes it's clear"

"When you're look at them and they close their eyes
That you have their love you should know
Like when they knead you with their gentle paws
And the love continues to grow"

As I return your gaze I see
You show me then a long slow blink
Before your eyes return open
A wonderful kiss shared I think.

This is a sweet and loving look at the wondrous feline...and Wils? I have found through experience that men who understand cats---understand women--and are FABULOUS lovers!
