The Milky Way, bright tonight as spilled cream Polaris burns, in the north a clear guide I feel it reflect like a tender dream Between me and thee as time and we bide The stars reflected in the bay tonight Shining in the sand radiate our reach Nuclear heat sparkles where we've lain in sight Dolphins romance sounds heard in their breech Our words stretch forth across the firmament Held in our union by laces of stars Linking us, linking stronger than content Beyond body union or the pull of Mars Beyond Triton's reach - beyond Saturn's power We're together tonight - we're together each hour The first duty of love is to listen. |

Wilfred~ I enjoyed it all - but delighted in the 'spilled cream' of the Milky Way best ! Delightfully lovely. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

...and your book, Mr. Yeats? It is to be published, when? I do well expect an autographed copy, you know. This particular piece...will be one of the many focal points, I am sure. [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 04-21-2001).] |

I will always love the sonnet form - and I have always been fascinated by science - and space - combine these in a romantic - 'what you see is what you get' - Thank you |

An absolutely perfectly done sonnet, and most enjoyable reading. |
