Like a miniature angel
you flew to me
bringing your little candle
from the clouds
to shine your smile
on my weary eyes

A pink bundle of joy
sleeping
crying
and sometimes
even smiling
arms wide open
big brown eyes so pretty
drinking
every ounce of love
I have
But strangely always find more.

When I look at you
I feel chills
and almost cry
but a little smile always
finds my face

As I look at my little Princess
calmly sleeping
a little angel
yet to get her wings
a gift that I will never deserve
but most gifts are
as I too fall to sleep
with my little girl
in my arms
