I could tell you how you affected me
when you looked into my eyes,
but I think it would be more precise
for me to steal the stars
and let them shine through me...

I would try to explain what you’ve done to my heart
by walking into my life,
but, perhaps, one day, you could stand
where the shore meets the ocean
and see how far that distant lighthouse really is...

my dear, I could, technically, tell you of my love
for the genuinely benevolent heart within you,
but I think it would do you more justice
to wait until after the rain
when the rainbow makes its way across the hazy sky...

my precious love, I long for you to see just how I feel
when you touch me so softly,
but, first, let me take you to the valley,
where we will stand under the waterfall
and let it drench us completely in its relentless inundation...

-kh 04/18/01

to be with you...
I've tried to hide my passion,
but it's just no use...
piece by piece I lose it
when you walk into the room...

and now you have done that.....

outstanding employ of metaphor, imagery, elemental comparions and poetic phrases.
very cool write of devotion sp.

I love your imperfections ... I love your everything ...
Your broken heart ... your broken wings.

I was thinking how beautiful this is and how I wish I'd written it... so I'm ROFL at Michael's goof... my wish thoughts must have guided his fingers. LOL. Great poem, wonderful images... methinks you're a lucky poet. *G*
