She Comes to Me by Michael Late at night as the crickets chirp, while the world sleeps and the birds have quieted their wings, she comes to me. This sweet vision. Oh how I await her presence, her fragrance, the soft breathing against my lips just before they meet my own. And how I hunger for her touch. That soft and cool skin against mine as she whispers of things that I must keep in secret. As we embrace and I deeply breathe her in, I suddenly awake, like so many nights before to find she isn't there. It was but another dream. And now awake, like an echo of something just said, I can still sense her presence and take in her scent for just a few seconds before it melts away. Proust- |

Michael~ Enjoyed the realistic feel of longing in this piece. 'And now awake, like an echo of something just said, I can still sense her presence' 'like an echo' ... Oh, that's good ! *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Mysteria, What does she say? Sorry...gonna leave that for a future poem. :-) Thank you. James, Thanks for dropping in and reading. Marge, Liked "echo" huh? :-) I'm glad were able to read this one. Thanks! Karilea, Yes, "soft" is exactly what I was after when writing this, as dreams have that soft feel to them. Thank you. :-) Just A Woman, First, let me say that there is no such thing as "just a woman." All women are most special, as are you. :-) Thank you for the "excellent" and for reading this piece. Gentle Spirit, I have to say that I really like "gentle spirit" a lot. It's very pretty. :-) Thanks for reading and enjoying. Lauren, Sweet dreams to you also, my friend. I'm glad you were able to read this one. Thank you. Sunny, What a lovely thought. :-) Thank you, my friend. Martie, This actually did come from a dream. It pleases me that you like this piece. Thanks, my friend. SEA, Romance is always perfect, so writing about it makes it that much easier. Thank you. :-) Sven, It's so good to see you here. :-) Thank you for the very nice words. Vandana, Thank you for enjoying this. :-) Marie, I started to go further with this poem, but decided to leave it as is. It seems that I did the right thing. Thank you. Sami, Rub your hands together and warm up. :-) I appreciate you reading and enjoying this. Elizabeth Anne, I think you're earning frequent posting miles, or something like that. :-) Thank you. :-) Thank, everyone! :-) Michael Proust- |
