Risk Anything

If we gave it one more chance
one more season

This time around would we dare pause
to ask ourselves
ask one another

Are we really aware of what we stand to lose
should we survive, again
the intensity of this love
simply to part, again
no less broken
than we are now at this moment

Yes, I would pause to consider
and unlike the first time

I would make an experienced decision

That no matter the cost
no matter the gain
I would risk anything
to love you, again
