Wishing You Were Here

As I walk along the seashore
Barefoot am I on the sand
I close my eyes and imagine
That you walk with me hand in hand

We stop and gaze out to sea
As you remove a strand of hair from my face
Then I move my body closer
As our fingers interlace

A passionate kiss by the water
Our senses are now coming alive
How I like what I see
As I look deeply into your eyes

The seabirds fly above me
As the wind assists them in flight
My mind begins to wonder
Will I be alone again tonight?

But for now I must be happy
As I know that's how you'd want me to be
And I'll take comfort in lovely thoughts of you
And of all the precious times you spend with me
