In ancient times imagination Created Griffin-like creatures Body of Lion, head and wings of an Eagle Fierceness thoughts come with the features In present time my imagination A creature unnamed created To express all my thoughts When I think of you, as I do unabated No Lion's claws, no Eagle's beak But Butterfly wings sung And a soft furry pelt Puppy's loving eyes and tongue So let your imagination soar too As we kiss then feel the touch Of butterfly wings, iridescent sheen In caresses feel how much Wrap yourself in my warm coat Of softest fur, of ermine think The creature gathers closely round I think I may be part mink Feel safe, secure from all alarms Give your senses over Puppy licks and laughing eyes Think of me as Rover Look back at eyes, see in the depth The adoration there, No falsity or slight of hand You'll never feel despair Know too you're always welcome so Within my cozy Lair To unburden and cuddle anytime In my heart and so loved there The first duty of love is to listen. |

Mr. Yeats, I do believe you are asking all the cat lovers, butterfly dancers, and magic romancers to come take a look at this... lovely piece... |
