*A note on this poem: since 7th grade (I am now well into my college years), I have been a avid poet, since about 11th grade, however; I have gotten really into hip-hop and that style of verbal poetry and delivery. The following piece is very much in hip hop style.* I do this dirty for my people in the mud Those who spread love but quickly shed blood We all got happy faces hidden by ugly mugs. I'm hungry so I'm looking for the rich meat Bring my tools and get into him deep Jump out no warning - hit em' with fists and feet Drag the bloody corpse leaving a stain on the gray concrete Into the green earth bloods seeps but quickly get the wallet and dissapear Into thin air - can you smell it in the night? We all want the life, just not blessed to live it right Into the jungle on light posts I swing caverns and sewers where we can all sing Divide up that addictive green Just a small enough hit to buy soap so I can stay clean Next day its its the same story month old clothes are my uniforms - listen to the war story Preditor and pray Those who ran, those who shot first and got away. This life is real THis pain is real. I write it on this paper to reveal. This is my soul on paper, my blood on paper The words I write burn a hole in paper. "Victory can be anticipated, but not assured" |

as much as I know you don't really do stuff like this, (kill people, if you did you wouldn't talk about on a site like this) it still makes me glad you live in maryland instead of here. Good poem though and the style was very good. I like hip hop myself usually with some rock in the music too though.
