i dust my feet from the dirt of contentment. i walk without the burden of happiness and yet with the flavor of the scream, my mouth is full, agony gags me. There is no in-between i am free from discontent and gloom. The scent of decay is absent and yet i see happiness through glass, there is a barrier that seperates us. For there is no in-between. i may drown in open air, i may go thirsty in a sea. Could i die in perfect health? Could i live through death? It doesn't matter, there is no in-between. much madness is divinest sense, and much sense the starkest madness~Emily Dickinson [This message has been edited by Swamp¤Faeryie (edited 05-09-2001).] |

Just a comment: I find that most times, Poetry should not have a explanatory preamble in prose. Now about the poetry, I liked it, shows great promise With some particularly good images. About the concept, Like is all just an in-between. No matter how we strive for absolutes. Gloom |

"and yet i see happiness through glass, there is a barrier that separates us. For there is no in-between." Very true words, Sammi. One must need, or feel, with the passion to break through. Watching through the glass is but an "in between". Thanks, Billy "The rose, like the cactus flower, protects herself with thorns. We however, impale ourselves on their beauty." |
