Clinging to my Heart

Here I am, tears on the surface
wanting to abrupt, yet I hold on,
Keep hanging on to my smile,
Upside down but still holding on,
Here I am, silence creeps into my mind,
No afterglow just a dull emptiness,
Of the tears that cling to my heart,
I know soon they will come no matter what I do,
They come whether they are welcomed or not,
Tears they say cleanses the soul,
Yet they cause such a pain,
What have I to gain?
Rapidly my heart controls my emotions,
Though I haven't got a notion of what proportion,
Tears just cling,
So I ask how do they ease the heart,
If they are drowning in the vessels,
The heart keeps beating, yet I'm still seeking
resolve, just a potion to relieve the pain.

I was much intreged , a bit heavy but thats what I like. Don't we all? Honest ,it's what we seek.also introspective.
