I struggle to fit in and be like you,
but instead I get teased for who I am;
And yet no one believes me;
For I am different than you

Being deaf in one and loss in another,
I can still hear you;
Hearing words and whispers around me,
and talking behind my back;
Yes I am different than you

Life may not be fair but at least I'm alive,
but why pick on me,
I've been ignoring you;
hoping it would go away;
No such luck,
I cannot take it anymore;
for I am different than you

Rennie, this person is wrong to do this but what an enlightening message you bring:

yes indeed you are and a better person for it!
