Darkness Swirling

The darkness swirls inside my head,
I see them in the shadows -
Where once was light
No only dark.
I see them in the shadows

I lay awake in bed at night,
Looking to the darkness -
Voices whisper pure delight -
Eyes burn alarmingly bright.
Looking to the shadows

They lay in wait for me to fall,
To join them in the shadows.
To turn my back on all that’s light -
I no longer have the will to fight.
To join them in the shadows

(It's not really finished yet)
