Slipping silently into the blackness, The light fades. Eternal sleep takes Its hold, wrapping its ice cold fingers Round the spirit and soul. Lie quiet oh my soul, linger on The edge between life and death Just a moment longer. Holding To the quiet sweet memories of Years past. Lie in sweet slumber, shrouded In the deep folds of eternal silence. Rest, oh my weary heart, let the Maiden of darkness wrap You in the Folds of her long flowing Velveteen cape. Take comfort in You eternal rest, As You lie in the dark nether realms Where neither sun nor noise shall Cause not a ripple on the lake of Eternal rest. |
