For a moment I thought I had one of those clap on, clap off lights.
But then I looked at the clock
and it was a quarter past three.
I realized as I lie in my cotton coffin..
I would have to arrange my own flowers.
Nothing goes with plaid sheets.
So I cried myself black petals.
And arranged them all astray,
in the style of a rose.
The thorns grab hold of me,
And I cry out in my sleep.
Who ever heard of polka dotted flowers.
