Bee stings – Feel the pinch, nerves twitch as memory pierces skin Pluck the stinger buried in layers, reach for the band aid as you lick the wound Beneath gauze blankets, pretend you don’t feel – that your muscles don’t ache from resisting the urge to swat the swarm Faithfully, you sit by the hive - dripping salt from your wounds and honey from your lips Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end... |

very interesting miss ladybug, different than usual, but i like... "in a past life i was a woodcarver's knife: the sharpend blade of a wood cutter, the eldest son of the chief's brother: a maker of drums" |

Thanks, Eor! Funny you say that it is different, since I seem to be going through a transformation in terms of my poetic style. A lot different from my old stuff...we shall see where my muse takes me. Thanks again for your comments! And I just noticed we both have 190 posts, hee hee Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end... [This message has been edited by Ladybug (07-17-2003 06:21 PM).] |
